The Invincibles
Inclusive sports and mentoring for young people with disabilities
The Invincibles is a specialist mentoring programme supporting young people with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) to access and enjoy sport and active leisure opportunities.
Through 1:1 mentoring, participants receive personalised support to travel to, take part in, and return from inclusive and accessible sports and recreational sessions in London.
We know many young people with SEND face barriers to participation in sport. The Invincibles helps break those barriers by:
-
Increasing physical activity and confidence
-
Improving well-being and social connection
-
Reducing isolation and encouraging independence
How it works
-
Young people are referred by families, schools, or partner agencies
-
Each participant is matched with a trained 1:1 specialist mentor
-
Mentors attend 8 sessions alongside the young person and provide tailored support
