The October 2022 Wipers Youth Newsletter highlights impactful initiatives and updates, including the organization's partnership with the London Accommodation Pathfinder (LAP) to deliver the Ether Leadership & Development programme, which aims to build self-awareness, confidence, and positive identity among 16 and 17-year-old boys as an alternative to custodial sentences.

The LAP targets areas disproportionately affected by youth remand, particularly Black boys and looked-after children. Wipers also launched the Sirius Music Project, supported by Youth Music's Trailblazer grant, to empower young people through music and social change education. Additionally, Dame Rachel de Souza is seeking updated data on child strip-search incidents following concerns highlighted by the Child Q case, with findings expected in 2023. CPD-accredited courses on trauma, cultural competency, and youth empowerment are also available for booking.
